Plaza Athénée, Ritz, Four Seasons, Le Crillon: real transfer times to CDG from the 10 most-requested Paris palace hotels. Insider tips and pitfalls.
Paris palaces and grand 5-star hotels concentrate a significant share of premium transfers to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle. We operate dozens of rides each month from these addresses, and the real transit times differ noticeably from Google Maps estimates. Here is our experience for the 10 most-requested hotels.
1. Hôtel de Crillon — Place de la Concorde (8th)
Iconic address on the Place de la Concorde, direct access via rue Royale and the quais. Transit time to CDG: 38 to 55 minutes depending on the hour. Pick-up always happens under the main porte-cochère — the Crillon valet announces vehicle arrival 5 minutes ahead. Avoid 8-9.30 am and 5-7 pm peaks, when the quai François Mitterrand or the Tuileries tunnel add 15 minutes.
2. The Ritz Paris — Place Vendôme (1st)
Delicate access: Place Vendôme is pedestrianised for through traffic, vehicle entry is via rue Cambon or rue de la Paix. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 60 minutes. Luggage is handled by the Ritz porter, who coordinates directly with the driver. Count 10 minutes of buffer for this ritual — never rush it. Flight before 9 am: plan departure from 6.15 am.
3. Four Seasons George V — Avenue George V (8th)
Smooth access via the Champs-Élysées, then avenue Kléber to Porte de la Muette. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 55 minutes. Our recommendation: avoid avenue Marceau, saturated in late afternoon; prefer the exit via avenue Montaigne and the quais. For early morning flights (6-8 am), pick-up is at 4.30-5.00 am to leave before A4-A1 motorway traffic.
4. Plaza Athénée — Avenue Montaigne (8th)
Avenue Montaigne is a dead-end for general traffic but remains accessible for hotel guests. Transit time to CDG: 42 to 55 minutes. Trips usually go via rue de Marignan and avenue George V. Beware of Fashion Week evenings (February and September) when the entire area is saturated — add 20 minutes. Asian guests make up a large share of the clientele; early morning requests for return flights to Tokyo or Seoul are common.
5. Le Meurice — Rue de Rivoli (1st)
Direct access via rue de Rivoli and the quais. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 60 minutes. Rue de Rivoli has been partially closed to cars since 2020 — pick-up is via rue du Mont-Thabor or rue de Castiglione. The Meurice valet tells the driver which side to use on the given day. Avoid Friday 5-7 pm (weekend flow heading north).
6. The Peninsula Paris — Avenue Kléber (16th)
Excellent location for CDG transfers: avenue Kléber feeds directly to the Étoile, avenue de la Grande Armée and Porte Maillot. Transit time to CDG: 35 to 50 minutes. One of the best Paris 5-star hotels for quick Roissy access. Dahab drivers can present at the main entrance or the dedicated Kléber drop-off point.
7. Shangri-La Paris — Avenue d'Iéna (16th)
Discreet address, smooth access via the quais and the Trocadéro tunnel. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 55 minutes. Predominantly Chinese clientele — the Shangri-La often requests a name sign in Chinese characters at CDG arrival, which we can arrange on booking.
8. Mandarin Oriental Paris — Rue Saint-Honoré (1st)
Access via rue Saint-Honoré, with valet service at the main entrance. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 58 minutes. Rue Saint-Honoré can be saturated on Saturday afternoons (luxury shopping, designer boutiques). For Sunday morning flights, prefer pick-up before 7 am.
9. Le Bristol Paris — Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré (8th)
Located at the heart of the 8th, steps from the Élysée presidential palace. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 55 minutes. Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré may be closed for protocol reasons (presence of the French President or state visit) — the driver is notified in advance through official channels, but add a 15-minute buffer on days of international summits or official ceremonies.
10. Hôtel de Vendôme — Place Vendôme (1st)
Access similar to the Ritz but with less traffic. Transit time to CDG: 40 to 58 minutes. Good compromise for quick palace-grade pick-up without the Ritz porter congestion. Recommended for early morning CDG transfers.
